Editor Job in Short-Form Dating Series, Reality/Doc Editor/Story Editor
This is a storytelling job. The editor is expected to find the narrative in raw footage, build tension, pace reveals, and make an audience care about two strangers falling for each other through letters. A background in reality TV or documentary editing is preferred. The content must also feel native to social platforms, with strong hooks, punchy pacing, and text on screen when needed. The visual style should be cinematic but scroll-stopping.
Footage includes sit-down interviews (two cameras), verité of writing and reading letters, emotional reactions, self-shot diary cams, B-roll, and the in-person date. The tone is warm, earnest, and real, not overproduced or ironic. The ideal background includes reality TV, documentary, docu-series, or narrative-driven branded content. If the reel consists only of quick-cut montages with no story, this is not the right fit. Availability to start this weekend is required. Fast turnaround, collaborative, and open to feedback.
