Part-Time Billing & Patient Support Coordinator (Remote – Mental Health / Telehealth)
This is a hands-on patient-facing role — perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people, explaining things clearly, and helping them feel reassured.
You’ll be:
• Calling patients regarding billing or payment questions
• Following up on declined cards or insurance issues
• Helping calm and guide patients who are confused or frustrated
• Logging updates and coordinating with our billing and clinical teams
This role also provides light administrative and clinical coordination support (scheduling, patient reminders, provider communication) as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Make and receive patient calls about billing, claims, and account balances
• Handle payment questions, refunds, and credit card updates through Converge
• Follow up on insurance verifications and claim denials with the billing lead
• Provide clear, kind explanations to patients regarding charges or copays
• Log all communication in secure, HIPAA-compliant systems
• Support the clinical team with light coordination tasks (appointment reminders, intake forms)
• Work closely with billing specialists (domestic and international) for smooth daily operations
Qualifications
• 1–2 years of experience in healthcare, billing, or patient services (mental health experience a plus)
• Confident and calm on the phone with all personality types
• Excellent communicator — can listen carefully, explain clearly, and follow up reliably
• Strong attention to detail and documentation
• Tech-comfortable (Google Workspace, EHR platforms, billing portals)
• Independent worker who thrives in a remote setting
