Head of Advisory
We are seeking a Head of Advisory Services for a rapidly growing RIA that specializes in serving a niche sector of high-potential professionals. You will spearhead advisor team strategy, structure, and retention, while inspiring a culture of high performance, collaboration, and delivering meaningful impact. We are seeking a strategic thinker who will influence multi-discipline service team to continue to scale the business. This requires a purpose-driven approach and long-term value vision to drive transformational impact, deliver measurable value, and position the organization as the long-term platform of choice for clients nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
• Shape and scale a multi-disciplinary advisory platform across wealth, tax, and planning services; define a long-term strategy and execution roadmap.
• Design team structure, compensation models, and performance frameworks that enable scale while preserving culture and service quality.
• Grow and lead cross-functional teams, building cohesion across advisory teams, planners, tax professionals, and operations.
• Drive integration for new service lines and acquired teams to ensure a consistent client experience and aligned strategy.
• Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing advisor talent, promoting a purpose-driven culture focused on excellence.
• Collaborate with the executive leadership on platform growth initiatives, market expansion and operational efficiencies.
• Represent the advisory platform in board and investor discussions.
• Ensure operational process adherence and best practices that support accountability and continuous improvement in alignment with organizational goals
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 15+ years of leadership experience in advisory services, wealth management, tax, or financial planning, with a proven ability to lead and scale multi-disciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated success scaling businesses, platforms, or service lines within complex or high-growth organizations, including integrating acquired teams or services.
• Strong track record of designing and implementing advisor team strategies, compensation models, and performance management frameworks.
• Deep understanding of how to operationalize complex advisory services into a cohesive, scalable platform aligned with business strategy.
• Ability to translate long-term vision into actionable roadmaps that align advisor incentives, service delivery, and organizational goals.
• Experience working with and presenting to senior stakeholders, including Boards and investors.
• Operationally minded leader with a passion for systems design, process standardization, and execution excellence.
• Emotionally intelligent leader who can influence across functions and disciplines, lead through change, and build inclusive, high-performance cultures.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with shifting priorities and growth demands.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a commitment to accountability, continuous improvement, and scalable, repeatable processes that enhance advisor and client outcomes.
