Business Development Key Account Manager

Salary: $100,000 base, $140,000 realistic OTE (uncapped) Location: Manhattan/Hybrid (3 days in office) Job Description: We are looking for an experienced account manager with consistent success in expanding and retaining an existing portfolio of corporate B2B clients. Working within our US Key Account team, this role takes on the significant responsibility of working with some our largest and longest-tenured clients, consisting of the world’s leading law firms and professional services firms, selling across the range of Chambers’ core product offerings. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a consultative, subscription sales environment, surpassing sales revenue targets through a combination of new business acquisition and account growth. This is a full-time position with room for growth and awesome company perks not limited to: • 15 days PTO per annum (plus 11 public holidays) • The offices are also closed in between Christmas and New Year so there is no need to book time off for 27th – 31st December • Additional day off for birthday leave • Healthcare: 100% individual coverage with Oxford medical • 401(k): ADP Traditional Safe Harbor Matching Contribution 401(k) • Hybrid working, typically 3 days per week in the office • Enhanced Maternity and Adoption pay: three months fully paid • Paternity pay: two weeks fully paid Why you should apply: • Full control of an existing book of business, valued at c. $1.6 million ARR. • Huge opportunity to upsell existing accounts across our growing portfolio of data and intelligence solutions. • Responsible for maintaining existing client spend across the Chambers core product suite. • Sole responsibility for allocated jurisdictions, forging strong client relationships. • Lucrative and achievable commission plan. Responsibilities: • Manage and grow (upsell/cross-sell) an existing book of business through value-based selling, with a focus on Chambers’ data and analytics products. • Maintain strong new business sales pipeline, produce high-quality proposals and accurate monthly forecasts • Balance short and long-term account objectives through innovative account management. • Strengthen existing relationships whilst proactively forging new relationships with strategic stakeholders within law firms (e.g. Managing Partners, CMOs, Heads of BD etc.) • Detailed global account mapping to identify white space and new buyers/influencers to drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities. Skills and qualifications: • A track record of success in previous B2B sales or account management positions • Experience in a similar, complex sales environment (e.g. SaaS, Professional Services or subscription sales within BI, data or research) • Background selling into law firms/legal sector, including face-to-face pitching/presentations with senior stakeholders, is beneficial • Innovative and structured approach to driving new business acquisition • Creative problem-solving skills with an ability to translate business requirements into value propositions Person specification: • Ability and desire to succeed in a fast-paced, competitive sales role • Executive-level communication skills • Self-motivated and target-driven • High attention to detail • Exceptional organizational and time management skills • “No Limits” mindset About us: Chambers and Partners is the world’s leading legal rankings and insights intelligence company.
