Purpose of the Position
Lead end-to-end executive searches (Director to C-Suite and niche leadership roles) for impact-oriented organizations. You’ll own client outcomes: from scoping the leadership need to landing the hire and ensuring a great post-placement experience. This is a senior, hands-on role with strategic advisory weight and clear delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the search lifecycle: intake & brief, role scorecard, compensation calibration, sourcing strategy, outreach, screening, assessment, client presentation, offer, and close.
• Market mapping & headhunting: build targeted longlists via direct sourcing, networks, and research; engage passive talent with compelling, values-aligned narratives.
• Assessment & advisory: run structured interviews; evaluate leadership competencies, cultural fit, and mission alignment; advise clients on tradeoffs and decision criteria.
• Client leadership: set search strategy and cadence, run weekly check-ins, manage stakeholders, and drive decisions to maintain momentum.
• Candidate experience: steward a world-class process—transparent timelines, timely feedback, and respectful declines.
• Reporting & analytics: maintain accurate pipeline data; present insights (funnel metrics, market intel, salary benchmarks).
• Quality & closure: reference checks, offer strategy, negotiation coaching, and onboarding guidance; contribute to post-placement follow-ups.
• Business stewardship (bonus): help scope new projects, refine playbooks, and mentor junior collaborators where relevant.
Requirements and competences to work with us
Education
• We prioritize proven capability over credentials. No specific degree required.
• What matters: a track record delivering end-to-end executive searches, sharp judgment, and consistent results.
• Advanced studies or certifications (e.g., executive coaching, org psychology, OD, analytics) are welcome but optional if your experience speaks for itself.
Experience
• 7–12+ years in executive search, senior recruiting, or leadership hiring—agency or in-house—delivering Director/C-Suite or hard-to-fill leadership roles.
• Proven track record of direct headhunting and closing passive candidates across multiple markets/time zones.
• Comfortable running multiple searches concurrently in a freelance/independent setup with clear SLAs and outcome accountability.
Knowledge and Skills
• Expertise in leadership assessment, behavioral interviewing, and talent mapping.
• Outstanding project management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in digital recruitment platforms, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and professional networking tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in executive recruitment practices.
• Fluency in English; additional languages (such as Spanish or Portuguese) are an asset.
