We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Healthcare Data Entry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data management team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and updating our database of patient assistance programs, medications, and medical diagnoses. - Update and maintain database entries for patient assistance programs (PAPs), ensuring accuracy and consistency across the platform.
- Input and verify medication information, including dosage forms and NDC codes, to ensure seamless integration with our software.
- Manage and update ICD-10 diagnosis codes and descriptions, staying up-to-date with the latest coding standards and regulations.
- Research and document eligibility criteria for various assistance programs, ensuring that our software accurately reflects program requirements.
- Verify and update program requirements and documentation needs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor changes in pharmaceutical assistance programs, staying informed about updates and revisions.
- Maintain accurate records of program updates and changes, providing a clear audit trail for our team.
- Support the team with administrative tasks related to data management, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across the platform, maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare-related data entry, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, including pharmaceuticals, diagnoses, and medical procedures.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical assistance programs, including eligibility criteria and program requirements.
- Experience with database management and data entry tools, including electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with patient assistance programs, including enrollment and eligibility processes.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 codes and coding standards, with experience in coding and classification systems.
- Background in pharmacy, medical billing, or healthcare administration, with a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance.
- Experience with healthcare software systems, including electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS).
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements, with experience in maintaining patient confidentiality and data security.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of patient advocacy and medical billing processes.
