HR Operations Coordinator (Fast-Response, Client-Facing)
We are looking for an HR Operations Coordinator to serve as the front line for incoming HR requests and ensure timely, accurate, and professional responses.
This role is operations-heavy and execution-focused. The primary responsibility is to monitor inbound HR inquiries and ensure they are acknowledged within one hour, routed correctly, tracked, and followed through to resolution.
If you are organized, responsive, and comfortable working in structured systems with clear expectations, this role will be a strong fit. Must be able to work pst hours.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor all inbound HR requests (email, Slack, HR inboxes, ticketing tools) during assigned coverage hours
• Acknowledge all HR inquiries within one hour of receipt
• Triage requests by urgency and category (payroll, benefits, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, etc.)
• Assign or escalate issues to the appropriate HR team member when needed
• Track requests from intake through resolution using internal systems
• Follow up on open items to ensure timely completion
• Maintain clear documentation and notes for each request
• Flag high-risk or time-sensitive issues immediately
• Support day-to-day HR operations and administrative tasks as needed
Required Experience
• Prior experience in HR operations, HR administration, or HR coordination
• Strong understanding of common HR workflows (onboarding, payroll support, benefits questions, employee relations basics)
• Experience working in a fast-paced, service-based environment
• Comfort working with multiple clients or stakeholders
• Strong written communication skills and professional tone
• High attention to detail and follow-through
Required Skills and Tools
• Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, or HR task management tools
• Comfortable working in Slack, email, and project/task management systems
• Ability to manage priorities and meet strict response-time expectations
• Reliable internet connection and consistent availability during assigned hours
Response Time Expectation
This role has a strict service-level expectation. All inbound HR inquiries must be acknowledged within one hour during coverage hours. Meeting this standard consistently is a core performance requirement.
Hours and Availability
• Part-time role to start, with potential to expand
• Must be available during standard U.S. business hours (exact schedule to be discussed)
• Preference for candidates who can provide consistent daily coverage
