Junior M&A Advisor Intern | Legacies Acquisitions | Handshake
The Junior Analyst Intern supports senior advisors on active M&A transactions and strategic initiatives. Interns gain exposure to both buy-side and sell-side processes and will interact with buyers, sellers, and intermediaries under supervision.
This role is ideal for students pursuing careers in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities
• Communicating with prospective business buyers and investors regarding acquisition criteria and next steps
• Supporting outreach and follow-ups with business owners exploring a sale
• Coordinating with business brokers, listing agents, and intermediaries on deal flow
• Market, industry, and company research
• Deal sourcing and target identification
• Company profiling and investment summaries
• Financial analysis and valuation support (under supervision)
• Preparation of pitch decks, teasers, and internal memoranda
• CRM and deal pipeline management
• Due diligence coordination and data organization
• Participation in internal deal discussions and select external calls, as appropriate
Qualifications
Required:
• Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student
• Major in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, or related field
• Interest in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and discretion
Preferred:
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Coursework in finance, accounting, or valuation
• Membership in finance, investment, entrepreneurship, or BPA clubs
