Full Stack Developer (Laravel + Vue.js)

About the Role: We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team. You'll work alongside senior engineers building features across the stack, developing APIs with Laravel and creating responsive interfaces with Vue.js. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills while contributing to a modern, well-architected platform. Our stack includes Laravel 12, Vue.js, MySQL, Redis, and TailwindCSS. What You'll Do: • Develop and maintain features using PHP 8.4 and Laravel 12.x • Build and consume RESTful APIs • Create responsive UIs using Vue.js 2.x+, and TailwindCSS • Write clean, tested code following team standards and best practices • Work with MySQL databases—writing queries, understanding schemas, and running migrations • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teammates • Document your work and contribute to team knowledge base • Learn and grow with mentorship from senior team members What We're Looking For: • 3–5 years of professional software development experience • 2+ years of experience with Laravel/PHP • 2+ years of experience with Vue.js or similar frontend framework (React, Angular) • Solid understanding of RESTful API design • Experience with relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) • Familiarity with Git workflows and version control best practices • Understanding of testing fundamentals (PHPUnit, Pest, or similar) • Eagerness to learn and grow technically • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Nice to Have: • Experience with AWS services • Familiarity with TailwindCSS • Exposure to Redis or queue systems • Experience with CI/CD pipelines • TypeScript experience Highlights of MicroVentures Benefits: • 401K Match (100% match on the first 5% and 50% on the next 5%) • Annual discretionary bonus • MicroVentures covers the base plan for Medical, Dental and Disability insurance • 3 Weeks paid time off + holidays • 4 Weeks paid sabbatical after 5 years with MicroVentures with a travel stipend • $100 monthly technology stipend (phone and internet) We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
