Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customs Trade Coordinator to join our team at arenaflex. As a Customs Trade Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth processing of import-related documentation, providing exceptional client service, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Provide impeccable client service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Retrieve and verify the correct arrangement of products for customs clearance from databases, SOPs, duty books, web resources, or customs documentation
- Perform data entry and processing of various import-related documents for submission to US Customs, including PGA (Participating Government Agencies) documentation
- Maintain and update all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Comply with all international importing and exporting regulations, staying up-to-date with changes and updates in the industry
- Collaborate closely with internal staff, departments, other arenaflex operations, and clients to deliver an elevated level of service and support
- Process organization financier shipments and handle remote filings as required
- Ensure all service and organizational policies are followed, adhering to established procedures and guidelines
Essential Qualifications
- High school certificate or GED required
- No industry experience required, but a minimum of six months of work experience is preferred
- Data entry/console experience required, with proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (telephone, fax, scanner, printer, copier)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong organizational and interpersonal abilities
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle high volumes of work and time-sensitive tasks
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing various systems and reference materials as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as international trade, logistics, or business administration
- Previous experience in customs brokerage, import/export operations, or a related field
- Knowledge of US Customs regulations and procedures, including PGA documentation and remote filings
