Key Responsibilities

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, restocking merchandise and assisting with other duties as needed
- Engage in safe work practices and encourage others to do the same, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and customers
- Ensure merchandise is stocked and presented appropriately for customers, making recommendations and suggestions as needed
- Assist with other duties as needed, including but not limited to, receiving and processing shipments, handling customer complaints, and participating in visual merchandising initiatives
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple customers and tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates
- Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately process sales transactions and handle customer payments
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move around the store as needed
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:
- Previous experience working in a retail or customer service environment, preferably in the home improvement industry
- Knowledge of home improvement products and services, including but not limited to, appliances, tools, hardware, lumber, building materials, paint, plumbing, flooring, lighting, and home décor
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer skills, with the ability to operate a cash register and process sales transactions
