As a Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide exceptional phone support to patients receiving specialty medication treatment, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs in a timely and compassionate manner.
* Coordinate and handle new prescription requests and reorders, including verifying and updating patient benefits and insurance information.
* Assist patients in navigating and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system, processing and collecting copay payments, and obtaining approvals from insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams.
* Identify, resolve, and escalate orders with records of sales or clinical issues, working closely with internal teams to ensure timely resolution.
* Collaborate with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners to ensure the timely processing of specialty medications and meet financial and clinical expectations.
**Required Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare, business, or customer service).
* One year of experience in a customer-facing role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via phone.
* One year of experience working with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications.
* One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and proficiency.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Healthcare experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology.
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
**Skills and Competencies:**
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
