Your primary responsibilities will include data entry, medical record retrieval, and project support, ensuring that our clients receive the reimbursement they are entitled to. This is a hybrid position with a mix of remote and in-office work, offering the perfect blend of flexibility and collaboration. **Key Responsibilities** * Retrieve patient medical records from various hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness * Generate and prepare patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits * Extract and enter necessary information from/to hospital patient accounting systems * Make phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain information needed on patients * Run and create reports to support revenue recovery efforts * Assist with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team * Scan and index documents to maintain accurate and organized records **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred * 1-2 years of experience in medical records, data entry, or a related field * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with electronic health records (EHRs) * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in revenue recovery or health information management * Familiarity with hospital patient accounting systems and revenue cycle management * Certification in medical records or a related field (e.g., Certified Medical Record Specialist (CMRS)) * Experience with data analysis and reporting, including creating and interpreting reports * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment **Skills and Competencies** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with electronic health records (EHRs) * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion * Strong adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we believe in investing in our employees' growth and development.
