Role We are looking for a Staff Security Researcher to join our Engineering team. This is a remote role, reporting to the Senior Director of Information Security. You will join the team that built the world’s largest cloud security platform from the ground up, enabling organizations worldwide to harness speed and agility with a cloud-first strategy. You’ll bring your vision and passion to enhance services and increase our global footprint for over 15 million users across 185 countries. What you’ll do (Role Expectations) • Lead and orchestrate end-to-end response for high-severity product security incidents • Act as the technical incident leader for high-risk bug bounty reports and responsible disclosures • Run post-incident reviews and root cause analysis, translate findings into durable engineering actions • Oversee intake and lifecycle management for vulnerabilities that may require incident handling Who You Are (Success Profile) • You thrive in ambiguity. What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) • 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, particularly in incident response or product security • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field like Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems • Proficiency in security principles, secure coding practices, and protocols such as HTTP and TCP/IP • Experience with incident management, vulnerability disclosure, and scripting tools like Python or PowerShell What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) • Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or related credentials • Experienced in spearheading emergency response and stabilizing critical operations under pressure • Professional experience with SDLC (secure development lifecycle) and performing code reviews #LI-Remote #LI-CM3 Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
