[Remote] Full-Time Fractional CFO

The role involves serving as a primary CFO advisor for multiple client businesses, focusing on delivering financial clarity, strategic direction, and accountability while managing competing priorities. Responsibilities • Serve as the primary CFO advisor for a portfolio of client businesses proactively identifying issues and driving solutions without waiting for direction • Rapidly assess how each business operates and translate that into clear financial expectations, forecasts, and focused plans • Lead decision-driven conversations that create accountability and turn plans into results • Manage competing priorities across clients while maintaining momentum and quality Skills • Experience working closely with owners or executive teams in an advisory or leadership capacity • Ability to manage high-stakes relationships and act as a credible advocate for owners with bankers, CPAs, and other key service providers • Strong working understanding of accounting principles and financial statements; ability to guide accounting function improvements and partner with controllers • Advanced Excel and Microsoft 365 proficiency; ability to adapt quickly to different client accounting systems and ERP environments • Strong grasp of forecasting, cash flow planning, and management reporting • Excellent prioritization and time-management skills across multiple concurrent responsibilities • Comfort working with imperfect information and imposing structure quickly • Clear, plain-spoken communicator who can explain financial concepts simply • High personal ownership — you do what you say you will do Company Overview • At Summit CFO Services, our purpose is to help businesses realize their potential through empowering financial leadership.
