Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to our clients, ensuring their travel experience with arenaflex is nothing short of exceptional. As a Customer Service Agent, you will be the first point of contact for many of our clients, and your friendly demeanor, patience, and problem-solving skills will set the tone for their journey. You will work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and collaborating with your colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of our airport services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer friendly support and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external clients
  • Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our organization
  • Provide excellent customer service to individuals seeking to travel, use cargo or baggage services by addressing their needs
  • Handle all aspects of ticketing and check-in by operating an electronic retail system, boarding, baggage services, reservations, and resolving related complaints and issues
  • Greet and handle clients in a courteous and friendly manner, handling cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets
  • Process transactions, make change, and balance daily transactions, being accountable for any overage or shortage
  • Check in baggage and cargo, answer phone calls to provide information to guests, page clients, resolve issues or complaints, and assist on an as-needed basis
  • Handle transactions required to board the aircraft in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage upset clients due to oversells, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, resolving such issues promptly and within guidelines set by the organization
  • Provide current and accurate admission, schedule, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answer general questions from clients and other airport visitors
  • Complete forms and reports as required by the organization
  • Prepare irregularity and complaint reports as necessary

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's Degree and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work in a team environment, meet the public, and perform under stressful conditions. You must also be able to type or use a computer keyboard with adequate speed to meet the needs of the job and understand reports, follow instructions, learn and understand ticketing techniques, rules, and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, having previous experience in customer service, particularly in the airline industry, would be an asset. You should be aware of hazardous situations and be able to handle emergencies on an as-needed basis. You must also be able to work under close time limitations to achieve quick turns of aircraft and maintain a well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Ground Operations Agent Handbook and Work Agreement.

To excel in this role, you will need to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to work in a team environment, and have the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. You should be able to provide a high level of customer service, be patient, and have a positive attitude, even in challenging situations. You must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment, think critically, and make sound decisions.
