Job Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for handling high-volume customer requests, performing data entry tasks, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and prescribers. As a Call Center Representative, you will work under direct supervision and follow established guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your primary goal will be to deliver outstanding customer experiences, resolve issues efficiently, and maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize arenaflex's prescription data entry methodology and rules to process new patient enrollments and enter information into the system.
- Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
- Investigate missing prescription data, interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes), and resolve data entry-related exceptions.
- Communicate with patients (inbound calls, visits, messages) and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed.
- Resolve Third-Party Rejections by reviewing, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
- Provide support to Pharmacists, both in the office and in other locations, and escalate issues to senior-level staff as necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following essential qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic level computer skills (e.g., starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse to point and click, starting and closing programs, switching between applications, saving files, printing documents, and accessing information online).
- Basic web browser skills, including opening a browser, typing URLs, using a search engine, bookmarking a page, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online.
- Intermediate-level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- At least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a stronger candidate:
- At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
- At least 1.5 years as a pharmacy technician with a certification/registration by the state as granted by the State Board of Pharmacy or a nationally recognized certification agency.
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessment of customer satisfaction.
- Intermediate to advanced-level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
