Artificial Intelligence (AI) Analyst Digital Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals in pursuit of a future contract award. This full-time (regular) exempt (salary) position is 100% remote, with possible occasional travel required to support programmatic needs. As a valued member of our team, you will play a key role in delivering state-of-the-art Information Technology solutions for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD). ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Analyze structured and unstructured data sets to identify patterns, trends, and operational insights. • Design, develop, and implement machine learning models in support of mission objectives. • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Evaluate, select, and optimize AI/ML algorithms based on task complexity, performance, and computational efficiency. • Clean, normalize, and preprocess data for analytic model development. • Conduct research into emerging AI technologies and methodologies, contributing to innovation pipelines. • Build predictive analytics and decision-support tools tailored to government use cases. • Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses, refine models, and validate analytic results. • Create data visualizations, dashboards, and presentations to communicate model insights to technical and non-technical audiences. • Monitor, retrain, and optimize deployed AI models and analytic systems for accuracy and performance. • Ensure all AI solutions align with ethical, legal, and mission-specific constraints related to transparency, bias mitigation, and responsible AI. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this position, you must meet the education and experience listed below: • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical field from an accredited college or university. • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in data analytics, machine learning model development, or AI systems engineering. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: • Three (3) years of demonstrated experience working in support of tasks aligned to the AI/ML lifecycle, including data wrangling, modeling, validation, and visualization. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams supporting government missions. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and presentation of technical material. • Must possess at least one of the following DoD 8570 IAT-I baseline certifications: A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, or SSCP. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • US Citizenship is required due to US government contract requirements. • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance (interim required to start). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates with experience or knowledge in these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: • Familiarity with DoD environments and secure data handling procedures. • Exposure to cloud-based AI development and MLOps tools (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML Studio). • Understanding of ethical AI development principles, including transparency, bias detection, and explainability. • Knowledge of CI/CD practices, version control, and model monitoring in production environments. • Research experience in applied AI topics relevant to national defense or mission analytics. • Active SECRET clearance. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The compensation range is based on industry compensation data and/or position budget and reflects our commitment to transparency and fairness: • The annual compensation range is $120,000 to $150,000, commensurate with education, experience, and certifications. • Other compensation may include discretionary bonuses, referral rewards, and spot awards. • Full-time benefits include comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), paid time off, paid holidays, life insurance with accidental death and dismemberment, short-term disability insurance, long-term disability, 401(k) with matching.
