Engineering Manager – Core Platform

Job Description: • Own the roadmap and delivery for Assemble's core platform capabilities • Build scalable infrastructure including data pipelines, knowledge management, agent orchestration, and enterprise integrations • Drive architecture decisions that balance immediate delivery needs with long-term platform scalability • Ensure platform reliability, security, and performance at enterprise scale • Establish and enforce engineering standards, development practices, and code quality across the organization • Lead technical design reviews and architecture discussions • Build an AI-native team—incorporate AI into engineering workflows and practices • Reduce technical debt while maintaining delivery velocity • Create documentation and knowledge sharing practices • Build CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and developer tooling • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of platform engineers • Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations • Make hiring decisions and participate in technical interviews • Build a high-trust, high-performance engineering culture Requirements: • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in engineering management • Strong technical background in Python, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and distributed systems • Experience building platforms, developer tools, or internal infrastructure • Deep understanding of modern software architecture, CI/CD, and engineering best practices • Experience establishing and implementing AI best practices • Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments • Track record of shipping high-quality software and improving engineering velocity • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across teams Benefits: • Equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status • Diversity creates better products and experiences Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
