<strong>Join a team recognized for leadership, innovation and diversity</strong><br><br>Honeywell is currently seeking an experienced Advanced Application Engineer / Fire Alarm Designer - Remote <br><br><strong>Job Description:</strong><br><ul><li>Design building fire alarm systems by selecting the proper combination of hardware, software, equipment, materials and services from the Honeywell product & applications portfolio that will deliver the highest value to the customer while supporting overall Honeywell business objectives.</li><li>Possesses the ability to communicate technical concepts/solutions to internal and external customers; e.g. conducting site walks, accurately reviewing customer specs, and with the ability to identify opportunities, risks, and resources required to achieve results within the proposal cycle.</li><li>Review job contract plans, scope and specifications, survey information, estimates and take-off sheets for opportunities and proposals. Clearly define requirements prior to starting engineering.</li><li>Support Sales and Project Manager on surveys, application selection, layout of potential retrofit opportunities and assessing customers' business objectives and strategies and utilize this to create accurate and complete estimates.</li></ul><br>The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $107,000.00 - 134,000.00. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $123,000.00 - $181,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. For more information visit: Benefits at Honeywell<br><br>The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates. <br><br>Due to U.S. export control laws, must be a U.S. Citizen, permanent resident or have a protective status<br><br>Required Qualifications:<br><ul><li>Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field, or 5 years in-field experience in fire alarm systems, including design and installation experience.</li><li>NICET level III or level IV certification in fire alarm systems, currently active and in good standing.</li><li>5 years of experience:<ul><li>Designing fire alarm systems, including voice evacuation and mass notification.</li><li>Programming fire alarm panels and sequences.</li><li>Estimating and sales support.</li></ul></li><li>3 years of experience with AutoCAD.</li><li>Knowledge of current NFPA, IFC, IBC, and other applicable codes related to fire alarm systems.</li></ul><br>Preferred Qualifications:<br><ul><li>Knowledge of PCs, software, networks, Internet related technologies.</li><li>Development of computer user interface graphics.</li><li>Design experience in aspiration smoke detection systems (VESDA), Bidirectional Amplifiers (BDA), and Emergency Two-Way Communication systems.</li><li>Ability to understand customer requirements/restraints and offer a cost-effective solution to the service needs (value engineering).</li></ul><strong>Additional Information</strong><br><ul><li><b>Category: </b>Engineering</li><li><b>Location: </b>USA</li><li>Exempt</li><li>Due to US export control laws, must be a US citizen, permanent resident or have protected status.</li></ul>Global (ALL)
