Business Analyst – 6-Month Project (with Possible Extension)
Country: Poland | Work Location: Remotely
Salary: 21 500 – 26 500 PLN + VAT on B2B
We are looking for a Business Analyst for our multinational client, who specializes in developing marketplaces and systems aimed at lowering the costs of IT products. They emphasize transparency, price comparison, and real-time delivery options.
This is a 6-month project with a high likelihood of extension!
Responsibilities
• As Business Analyst you will be reverse-engineering business logic and workflows from the legacy system, carefully analyzing how the current solution operates and documenting all relevant rules, dependencies, and decision flows required for migration;
• You will be gathering domain knowledge through close collaboration with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders, ensuring that both technical and functional perspectives are properly captured and understood;
• You will be producing and maintaining clear “as-is” documentation, including process flows, business rules, system dependencies, and edge-case behaviors, creating a reliable foundation for migration activities;
• You will be defining and maintaining functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring clarity around performance expectations, constraints, integrations, and business priorities;
• You will be preparing implementation-ready technical specifications for developers, translating complex legacy behaviors into structured, actionable documentation that reduces ambiguity during development;
• You will be supporting decision-making around what should and should not be migrated, aligning with stakeholders to distinguish between critical functionality and obsolete or redundant components;
• You will be actively supporting delivery teams by reducing uncertainty, ensuring that documentation remains lean, accurate, and practical, helping engineers move forward efficiently in a fast-paced migration environment.
Requirements
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, or Systems Analyst, enabling you to independently analyze systems and document complex business logic;
• Proven experience in migration, modernization, or legacy transformation projects, ensuring you understand the challenges of working with existing systems rather than building from scratch;
• Strong ability to reverse-engineer and document existing systems without forcing redesign, allowing you to capture reality accurately before proposing changes;
• Excellent written communication and structured documentation skills, ensuring requirements and system behaviors are clear, consistent, and usable for technical teams;
• Solid SQL skills, including the ability to inspect databases and analyze data patterns, enabling you to validate assumptions and understand how data supports business logic;
• Comfort working in a fast-paced migration environment alongside engineers and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between documentation and technical implementation;
• Strong ownership, independence, and prioritization skills, allowing you to manage ambiguity and drive clarity across parallel workstreams.
Nice to have
• Understanding of stored procedures, enabling deeper analysis of database-driven business logic;
• Familiarity with Azure, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, supporting collaboration with engineering teams working on modern infrastructure;
• Experience migrating from monolithic systems to service-based architectures, helping bridge legacy structures with modular solutions;
• Background in platform, e-commerce, or B2B systems, providing additional context when analyzing complex transactional environments.
We offer
• Salary for work amounting to 21 500 - 26 500 PLN + VAT on B2B;
• Stable employment (employment contract or B2B);
• Private healthcare, Multisport card and trainings.
Please be advised that we will only contact selected candidates
