[Remote] Client Services CFO - B2B

They are seeking a Client Services CFO to manage a portfolio of Consumer Products companies, focusing on business development, strategic advisory, and team leadership within an embedded finance model. Responsibilities • Own the full Consumer Products sales cycle from outreach to signed engagement • Build pipeline through networking, referrals, and strategic outreach • Develop compelling proposals and expand within existing accounts • Serve as primary CFO advisor and relationship owner • Lead strategic financial discussions and board prep • Identify opportunities for deeper engagement and service expansion • Build and lead U.S. and international engagement teams • Delegate FP&A, accounting, and controller work effectively • Ensure quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement • Own portfolio financial performance, margins, and utilization • Balance client satisfaction with sustainable profitability • Leverage PIE and Propeller’s data platform for differentiated insight • Document workflows and contribute to institutional knowledge Skills • 12+ years in finance/accounting, including 5+ years in CFO or senior leadership roles • Proven Consumer Products business development track record • Experience building and leading high-performing teams • Relationship-driven and systems-oriented • Entrepreneurial and comfortable with ambiguity • Technically curious, including AI-enabled tools • CPA and/or MBA preferred • Multi-client or consulting background strongly preferred • Experience serving Consumer Products companies with $5M–$100M+ in revenue • DTC / E-commerce (CAC, LTV, channel economics, fulfillment, Shopify/Amazon) • CPG (trade spend, inventory, COGS, promotions, retail margins) • Omnichannel / Brand (DTC vs. wholesale mix, inventory turns, margin management) Benefits • Generous PTO and holidays • Comprehensive health/dental/vision • Disability and life insurance • HSA contribution • Paid family leave • Remote work • Professional development support Company Overview • Propeller Industries offer strategic finance and accounting partner for venture-stage businesses.
