AEC Graphic Designer (Proposals & Pursuits – Remote)

Join the Ideas at Dawn team providing graphic design services to large civil engineering and construction companies. We deliver turnkey proposal development and marketing support so our clients can bid and win more work without adding payroll. This is a 1099 consultant / contract graphic designer role supporting proposal responses and AEC marketing materials. Hourly range: $50–$100/hour, based on experience and proposal-specific AEC expertise. This is a remote, hourly role, with 20+ hours/week availability required during standard business hours (8am–5pm). You will support materials including: • Letters of Interest (LOIs) • Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) • Requests for Proposals (RFPs) • Presentations • Print and digital collateral Main Responsibilities • Create, design, and edit materials to include print and interactive collateral such as proposals, covers, tabs, flyers, maps, aerials, logos, pictures, charts, etc. • Apply professional graphic design principles and develop new ideas to support our clients • Provide design advice and guidance • Design and produce visually appealing document • Storyboard page-by-page or slide-by-slide content with the proposal manager • Research and bring fresh ideas to the team • Review work to ensure the accuracy and quality of all materials produced • Conduct a final quality review of all artwork before final production • Create engaging visuals that convey complex technical information to a variety of audiences and readers • Ensure integrity of communications by maintaining each client's identity, brand, standards, and programs Experience Required • Minimum of 5 years of design experience developing proposal-oriented graphics, including infographics for an engineering or construction firm using Adobe Creative Suite • Ability to complete tasks within tight time schedules and under strict layout controls • Ability to use tact and diplomacy when interacting with others • Excellent time management, planning and problem-solving skills • Advanced knowledge of graphic design and typography principles and applying them to solve marketing and business challenges through visual storytelling in long-form documents • Advanced knowledge of current graphics design (and related) software applications (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and presentation software • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint • 3D rendering skills, video editing and interactive document experience are a plus To Apply Please submit the following through Indeed: • Your resume • Your hourly rate (within or near the posted range) • A link to your portfolio showcasing AEC proposal or compliance-driven work Qualified candidates will be invited to submit a brief video introduction as part of the next step.
