Description • As a Senior Security Engineer II at Wrapbook, you will be a pivotal leader in safeguarding our cutting-edge applications and robust infrastructure against a dynamic landscape of threats. Your primary focus will be on Application Security, where you will be instrumental in defining, delivering, and executing sophisticated security initiatives that directly enhance the security posture of our innovative products and services. This role demands a proactive approach to building secure-by-default systems, driving effective remediation efforts, and fostering deep collaboration with our Engineering and Product teams to ensure that security is an intrinsic component at every stage of the software development lifecycle. • This position is ideally suited for an individual who thrives on the challenge of balancing business enablement with the implementation of stringent security controls. You should possess a passion for dissecting and solving complex technical and organizational problems, and a proven ability to elevate security maturity within a rapidly scaling, distributed, and remote-first environment. While we embrace remote work, a degree of flexibility for occasional travel is expected. • You will be responsible for owning and leading the execution of significant, multi-quarter Application Security and Engineering initiatives. This involves the strategic breakdown of these large-scale projects into manageable, shippable iterations, ensuring consistent progress and tangible outcomes. • A key aspect of your role will involve deep dives into framework internals and the enhancement of existing, complex application security architectures. This includes, but is not limited to, microservices, intricate authentication systems, and the security of APIs, ensuring they are resilient against evolving threats. • You will play a crucial role in evaluating and selecting appropriate security technologies and tooling, such as Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA). This will involve thorough research, hands-on prototyping, and rigorous validation to ensure the most effective solutions are implemented. • With the increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence, you will provide expert guidance and establish essential guardrails for securing AI-based workflows, ensuring their development and deployment are conducted with the highest security standards. • A core objective is to drive toward simplicity and the creation of easily understandable application security solutions that can be readily adopted by development teams. • You will engage in deep, collaborative partnerships with Product Engineering and DevOps teams. This ensures the secure technical implementation of highly complex, cross-group projects and features, fostering a shared responsibility for security. • Proactively identifying emerging industry threats, particularly within the application and cloud security domains, will be essential. You will assess the potential risk these threats pose to the business and recommend robust mitigative actions and controls. • You will serve as a trusted advisor to both engineering teams and leadership, offering expert counsel on a broad spectrum of application security and risk-based topics. • In the event of large-scale, highly complex security incidents, you will operate as the Incident Commander. Your focus will be on effective application and data breach response, actively coordinating and leveraging cross-functional resources as needed to ensure swift and comprehensive resolution. • You will partner cross-functionally to champion and refine security process best practices and drive continuous improvement. This includes embedding a strong culture of security throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). • A commitment to fostering an environment of inclusion is paramount.
