Distribution Manager - U.S. Remote Opportunity

We are currently seeking a candidate for our Distribution Manager role. This position is a remote role to be located within the United States.

The ‘Business Development Manager – Distribution’ is a key strategic leader within Techmer PM’s distribution organization. This role drives product and market growth by expanding distribution channels, strengthening partner relationships, and optimizing portfolio and service performance. This individual sets ambitious growth targets, champions innovation, and enables operational excellence to ensure Techmer PM’s competitive positioning and longterm success across evolving markets.
Job Purpose:
The ‘Distribution Manager’ is responsible for managing distribution operations with a focus on maintaining contracts, optimizing product portfolios, and enhancing service delivery to distribution partners. This role ensures timely and accurate execution of distribution activities by collaborating across internal departments. While not a formal managerial role, it requires strong ownership, operational insight, and cross-functional communication. Key responsibilities include contract and product oversight, customer service responsiveness, training coordination, site visit execution, and performance improvement through KPIs and workflow optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Distribution Contract and Product Management
• Maintain and renew distribution contracts to align with business goals
• Oversee product portfolio for distribution partners, focusing on growth of existing products
• Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for optimization
Customer Service and Distributor Support
• Respond to distributor inquiries within 24 hours
• Deliver quotes within 48 hours and confirm purchase orders within 48 hours
• Provide tracking information within 24 hours of shipment
• Resolve complaint investigations within 14 days of initial customer update
• Report on customer service and service delivery monthly to BU Director
Training and Service Delivery Oversight
• Establish and lead monthly training sessions for distribution partners
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent and high-quality service standards
Document Control and Compliance
• Maintain accurate product specifications and enforce no-change policies
• Manage exclusivity agreements and ensure documentation integrity
• Partner with regulatory and technical service teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards
• Conduct annual compliance reviews with the BU Director
Performance Monitoring
• Maintain a KPI dashboard to monitor distribution performance
• Review KPIs monthly with the BU Director and use insights to drive improvements
Budget Coordination
• Assist in managing the distribution budget, including cost tracking and reporting
• Meet budget submission deadlines and conduct monthly budget reviews with the BU Director
Departmental Organization
• Identify and resolve operational challenges including system inefficiencies and vendor coordination
• Organize and optimize departmental workflows to reduce bottlenecks and improve throughput
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Experience in managing distribution contracts, quoting, complaint resolution, and cross-functional coordination
• Proven ability to enhance distributor performance through service delivery and KPI tracking
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable contributor with high integrity
• Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 10+ years in distribution/logistics, preferably in polymer/manufacturing industries
Salary range: $115,000-$150,000; Salary range may be adjusted due to geographic location of selected candidate.
