Character Concept Artist
Role Description
This is a remote contract position for a Character Concept Artist. The Concept Artist will be responsible for creating and tweaking a few existing 2D character concepts, and developing new character conceptual artwork. The role requires translating ideas and detailed character descriptions into compelling visual concepts that align with the creative vision and project goals.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in 2D art and Character Concept Art creation.
• Experience in Character Designs and a clean orthographic turnaround - front, side, back, and three-quarter views at a consistent scale, emotions and movement cards.
• Familiarity with digital tools to produce details and textures. This covers surface qualities: skin texture, fabric weave, wear and tear, material properties to name a few.
• Strong visual storytelling, creativity, and artistic abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with creative teams in a remote setting.
• Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Experience in entertainment, gaming, or animation industries is required.
