Shorts Video Editor

Job Type: Full-time Work Location: Remote, but in person preferred.(Plantation, FL) We're looking for a passionate YouTube Video Editor to join the DanCookedIt team to create story-driven content for YouTube and social platforms. This is a highly collaborative role with constant feedback and iteration. You'll be deeply involved in shaping pacing, emotion, and storytelling, while continuously optimizing videos for performance and retention. The ideal candidate is fired up about YouTube, obsessed with improving their craft, and excited to grow in a fast-paced creative environment. Responsibilities Edit YouTube videos using provided raw footage, audio files, and detailed scripts Craft cohesive, engaging edits that prioritize storytelling, pacing, and impact Use music and sound design intentionally to support story beats Create basic motion graphics and light VFX in After Effects when needed Collaborate closely with Dan and the DanCookedIt team to develop the edits Implement feedback quickly and contribute ideas to improve video performance Ideal Candidate Has strong experience or knowledge of YouTube editing and storytelling Is passionate about YouTube and creator culture Thrives in a feedback-driven creative environment Has a great ear for music and understands how audio conveys emotion Understands basic sound design and uses sound effects to enhance transitions and story moments Is enthusiastic, dedicated, and committed to producing high-quality work Required Skills Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, including basic motion graphics and VFX Strong understanding of pacing, rhythm, and YouTube Reference: ECNJOBID-66-249-70-97 in the application Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
