Role Description This position involves analyzing complex workers' compensation claims, ensuring that claims are adjudicated in accordance with service expectations and industry best practices. • Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims, managing them to timely resolutions. • Negotiate settlements of claims within designated authority. • Calculate reserves and manage their adequacy throughout the life of claims. • Ensure timely claim payments and prepare necessary state filings. • Manage the litigation process for claims resolution. • Coordinate vendor referrals for investigation and litigation management. • Implement cost containment strategies to minimize claims costs. • Oversee claim recoveries and report claims to the excess carrier. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. • Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent. • Subject matter expert in insurance principles and laws. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and analytical skills. • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. • Exceptional negotiation abilities and team collaboration.
