Regional 7on7 Football Tournament Director ( Hybrid / Remote )
As a successful Seasonal Tournament Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading, organizing, running operations, and serving as the onsite point of contact for Pylon 7on7 Football tournaments. This paid position runs throughout the core 7on7 season, with most events concentrated on weekends.
Seasonal Directing Dates: January 2026 – May 2026
As a Seasonal Tournament Director, you will:
• Serve as the main onsite point of contact for coaches, officials, athletes, patrons, vendors, and Pylon staff during tournament play
• Manage and direct tournament staff, including operations staff, scorekeepers/announcers, retail staff, etc.
• Deal with and handle conflict that may arise during tournament operations
• Master the Pylon 7on7 Football rules to ensure fair play throughout events
• Learn “The Pylon Way” as that’s an integral role in operating the premier 7on7 football tournaments in the nation
• Create a fun, dynamic atmosphere for guests, developing camaraderie and acting as a positive role model
• Adhere to the Pylon values and brand standards, ensuring a consistent representation of excellence
• Maintain a high level of professionalism while providing extraordinary customer service
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning, displaying initiative, desire, and determination to champion the values associated with the Pylon name and brand
• Work with and lead staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently, while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants
Qualifications
This is the perfect seasonal job for recent college graduates, current or former coaches, and full-time professionals who have an interest in youth/HS football, 7on7 tournament operations, staff management, and a love for the game.
Requirements
• Proven professional proficiency in managing staff
• Prior experience in dealing with and handling conflict
• Top-tier communication skills
• Engaging, outgoing personality with abundant energy and proactive initiative
• Strong attention to detail
• Impeccable time-management and organizational skills
• Ability and willingness to physically perform all job responsibilities
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, almost exclusively on weekends (Friday–Sunday) from January through May
• Availability and willingness to travel to and work on-site at Pylon tournament locations nationwide
Preferred Experience
• Prior experience in a managerial/leadership role
• Previous experience within the sports sector – preferably football or 7on7 tournament operations
• Genuine passion for football, with a strong emphasis on 7on7 competition
• Experience playing or coaching football at the high school, college, or 7on7 level
