Mixed Methods UX Researcher (4 week pilot)

Applause is a leader in software testing and digital quality. We are planning a 4-week UX Research pilot study at our client's offices in Seattle, WA, with potential for to convert this role into a 12-month duration. The focus of your work will be to drive UX Research excellence by understanding our client's objectives, sampling research approaches to meet these objectives, and working in collaboration with a cross-functional team to execute primarily moderated qualitative studies, both evaluative and generative. The ideal Researcher will have: • Expertise conducting end-to-end UX Research with mixed methods analysis • Strong academic and research experience in cognitive sciences and human perception • Prior consultative experience • Impeccable client-facing skills • Capacity to navigate challenging work situations & stakeholders Basic terms: • Type: 1099 independent contractor • Role: Mixed methods UX Researcher • Duration: 4-week pilot study; potential conversion to 12-months • Level: Mid - Senior • Location: In-office Seattle, WA • Capacity: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday during PT business hours • Rate: $110 to $125 USD per hour Responsibilities: • End-to-end Research: Take ownership of all phases of end-to-end research projects, including data collection, analysis, and reporting. Design and execute research methodologies tailored to project goals and objectives. • Project Ownership: Lead, manage, and oversee all aspects of assigned research projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met on time and as expected. • Client Communication: Effectively communicate research findings and recommendations in clear, concise, and compelling formats. Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations to inform decision-making. Experience we are looking for: • 4+ years of experience in previous User Experience Research roles • Academic studies in cognitive experience/science, human perception • Ability to run a study from end to end, including but not limited to preparing a research plan, survey development & distribution, data collection & analysis and presenting findings to clients • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners • Excellent interpersonal skills in relation to communication, presentation, and client communication Preferred experience: • Previous experience working in a UX agency setting • Previous experience working in a consulting role with clients (e.g., Business/management consulting, UX consulting) • Experience with research and design tools like Qualtrics, Lookback, Figma, etc. Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
