Strategy & Planning Analyst (LATAM)

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2025-11-24
About AirDNA We built AirDNA to solve a problem: how do you make smart short-term rental decisions when there’s too much guesswork and not enough good data? What started in a garage in California in 2015 is now a global team helping thousands of people — from aspiring hosts to major real estate firms — make confident choices about where to invest, what to charge, and how to grow. Our mission is simple: give people the tools they need to build freedom through short-term rentals. Whether that means buying their first Airbnb or scaling a portfolio, we’re here to help unlock financial independence and growth. We track 10M+ listings in 120,000 markets, and our platform is trusted by users in over 100 countries. It’s big data, made useful. The AirDNA team We’re a curious, driven, and kind group of humans who genuinely love what we do. Our values — Happy, Hungry, Honest — guide how we show up for our customers and for each other. You’ll get a feel once you meet us. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if you don’t check every box. Passion, potential, and perspective matter here. The Role We're looking for a Strategy & Planning (S&P) Analyst to serve as the foundational data architect within our S&P function. Partnering closely with the S&P Associate as well as CFO, you'll build a unified, comprehensive data ecosystem across AirDNA auditing, consolidating, and enriching the company's core data tables to deliver a holistic view of business performance. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape how an entire company sees and uses its data. You'll work cross-functionally with Growth, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Support, leveraging SQL, BI tools, and automation to turn fragmented data into a single source of truth that drives executive decision-making. Here's what you'll get to do: • Audit and map all existing data tables across Finance, Growth, Marketing, and Customer Support. • Design and build a unified master table architecture that consolidates cross-functional data into a single source of truth. • Create executive dashboards in Sigma or similar BI tools to surface real-time KPIs for leadership. • Deliver ad-hoc analyses for the S&P Associate and CFO, synthesizing data from multiple sources into actionable recommendations. • Automate reporting workflows using SQL, Python, AI-based tools, or BI-native scheduling to reduce manual work. • Ensure data quality and governance by reconciling discrepancies across systems and enforcing consistency. • Document all processes including data lineage, transformation logic, and dashboard guides in Confluence. • Partner cross-functionally with Growth, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Support to understand KPI priorities and close data gaps. Here's what you'll need to be successful: • 2+ years of experience in a data-driven, analytical role (e.g., strategy, consulting, business intelligence). • Strong SQL proficiency (complex queries, joins, window functions, CTEs) across databases like Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or Redshift. • BI & visualization experience with tools like Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Sigma. Advanced Excel/Sheets skills are a given. • Automation mindset: familiarity with ETL concepts (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran) or AI-based tooling (Claude, Zapier) is a plus. • Builder’s mentality: a self-starter energized by ambiguity and the chance to architect something from the ground up. • Sharp communicator who translates complex data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders. • Collaborative and low-ego: you build trust quickly across teams and thrive working cross-functionally. • Accountable and adaptable: you take ownership, meet deadlines, and reprioritize fast in a high-growth environment. • Hungry to grow: coachable, curious, and excited to scale AirDNA through better data. • Bonus points for Amplitude, Stripe, or HubSpot experience. Here's what you can expect from us: • Full time indefinite contract (this is a contract position) • Unlimited vacation policy; take time when you need it • Continuing education stipend • Paid parental leave • Work at the intersection of data, technology, and travel in a high-growth company. • Build something from scratch. This role is a greenfield opportunity to design AirDNA's data infrastructure. • High visibility: work closely with the S&P Associate, CFO, and CEO to influence company strategy. • Collaborate with a passionate and driven team that values ownership and impact. • A culture that rewards initiative, curiosity, and a Get Stuff Done mentality $45,000 - $50,000 a year You are also eligibile for our annual discretionary incentive bonus program (based on company and individual performance). Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications. AirDNA seeks to attract the best-qualified candidates who support the mission, vision and values of the company and those who respect and promote excellence through diversity.
