Android Developer Needed – Real-Time Speech Detection Prototype (Audio Processing)

Description: I am looking for an experienced Android developer to build a prototype app that performs real-time speech detection and triggers a sound when certain words are detected. This is a simple prototype (MVP) for a larger product. Future work will be available if this project is successful. The goal is a reliable working prototype, not a polished commercial app. Core Features Required The Android app must: • Use the phone microphone to capture audio continuously • Convert speech to text in near real time • Detect words from a customizable list • Play a beep sound when a word is detected • Have a simple Start/Stop button Technical Requirements Preferred experience: • Android development (Kotlin or Java) • Audio processing • Real-time speech recognition Preferred speech engines: • Whisper.cpp • Vosk • Google Speech API Offline processing is preferred but not required for the prototype. User Interface Very simple interface: Main Screen: • Start Button • Stop Button • Status indicator ("Listening") No fancy design needed. Deliverables Developer must provide: • APK file for testing • Full source code • Instructions to run the app Timeline Expected completion: 3–4 weeks Budget Budget: $1,000–$2,000 fixed price Future development likely if prototype is successful.
