We're committed to creating a culture that supports our employees' growth and well-being, while delivering exceptional services to our community. **Job Summary** As an Experienced Customer Service Representative in the Treasurer's Office, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving complex issues, and performing a range of administrative tasks. You will work closely with taxpayers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and their concerns are addressed. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining accurate records, processing payments, and providing detailed research on property tax information. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide exceptional customer service to taxpayers, customers, and internal stakeholders via phone, email, and in-person interactions * Resolve complex issues related to property tax, mobile home liens, delinquent notices, and condemnation matters * Conduct detailed research on property tax information for complex taxpayer problems, court cases, and condemnation suits * Maintain accurate records of taxpayer files and documents * Process payments, calculate interest and penalty charges, and prepare payment adjustment forms for tax refunds and re-applies * Perform tax prepayments tasks, research, and prepare tax release documents for Manufactured/Mobile home liens and releases * Process Platt tax payments, which require research to ensure validity of documentation before Platt receives final authorization * Assist with daily updates to the tax roll, including changes in ownership, values, exemptions, and legal descriptions * Respond to tax roll and tax-related questions both orally and in writing * Review and verify system entries and information on data processed reports * Perform varied customer service functions, including liaison for volunteer groups and taxpayers in specialty areas, collection efforts on delinquent taxes, clerical, microfilming, and coverage tasks * Assist in the training of personnel * Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned **Essential Qualifications** * High School Diploma or GED * Two (2) years of work experience in clerical or office administration setting or related field * Any equivalent combination related to education and/or experience may be considered for the above requirements **Preferred Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business administration, public administration, or a related field) * Experience in customer service, property tax, or a related field * Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office and Eagle Recorder Software * Strong communication and problem-solving skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines * Experience in training and mentoring staff **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and provide detailed research on property tax information * Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with taxpayers, customers, and internal stakeholders * Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office and Eagle Recorder Software * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines * Experience in training and mentoring staff * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** * arenaflex offers a range of career growth opportunities, including professional development programs, training, and mentorship * Our employees enjoy a range of benefits, including generous leave accruals, career development opportunities, remote and flex-work options, longevity pay, education assistance programs, health benefits, and a lucrative retirement plan * We're committed to creating a culture that supports our employees' growth and well-being, while delivering exceptional services to our community **Work Environment and Company Culture** * arenaflex is a dynamic organization that values work-life balance, flexibility, learning, and belonging * Our employees enjoy a range of benefits, including generous leave accruals, career development opportunities, remote and flex-work options, longevity pay, education assistance programs, health benefits, and a lucrative retirement plan * We're committed to creating a culture that supports our employees' growth and well-being, while delivering exceptional services to our community **Compensation, Perks, and Benefits** * Competitive salary range: $18.15 - $25.73 * Generous leave accruals * Career development opportunities * Remote and flex-work options * Longevity pay * Education assistance programs * Health benefits * Lucrative retirement plan * Other benefits and perks, including but not limited to, employee recognition programs, employee wellness initiatives, and community involvement opportunities **How to Apply** If you're passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, resolving complex issues, and working in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
