PR & Narrative Strategy Lead

Responsibilities
Serve as the senior authority on reputation, crisis, and narrative risk for high net worth (HNW) and enterprise clients
Collaborate with the Director of Strategy to align narrative posture with broader ORM campaign objectives
Design and maintain crisis communications frameworks, escalation logic, and rapid response playbooks
Develop message architecture, executive talking points, and defensible public positioning strategies
Own media strategy guidance for sensitive accounts, including earned and paid press placement considerations
Lead rapid response narrative shifts when reputational threats, media exposure, or viral risk emerge
Pressure test messaging for legal exposure, reputational durability, and search impact prior to release
Advise leadership on when to engage, redirect, remain silent, or counter public narratives
Partner with Digital PR, Content, SEO, ORM Fulfillment, and Knowledge Platforms teams to ensure narrative consistency
Serve as a subject matter expert on escalation or high risk sales calls when reputational authority is required
Maintain strategic relationships with journalists and media partners where appropriate
Daily Goals
Assess high risk and high-visibility accounts for emerging narrative or media exposure threats
Review public facing messaging, pitches, and statements for reputational alignment
Provide calm, decisive guidance during crisis or escalation events
Coordinate with Strategy leadership on narrative risk thresholds and posture
Monitor media and platform developments impacting sensitive client verticals
Maintain organized documentation of crisis frameworks and approvals
What We’re Looking For
5 to 8+ years of senior experience in PR, crisis communications, or narrative strategy (agency or in house)
Demonstrated experience advising executives, founders, or high visibility individuals
Strong background managing legally sensitive or reputationally complex narratives
Deep understanding of how media exposure intersects with search and online reputation
Exceptional editorial judgment and disciplined messaging instincts
Ability to operate independently and deliver firm guidance under pressure
Strategic thinker and ability to scale thoughts to different audiences
Dynamic communicator and presenter
Team player in all settings
Ability to navigate various industries, with preference for exposure in business, finance, tech, healthcare, and legal verticals
Bonus Points
Experience working with HNW individuals or enterprise brands
Background in online reputation management or crisis driven industries
Experience coordinating with legal counsel on public communications
Familiarity with Wikipedia, knowledge panels, and search driven narratives
Experience supporting Digital PR or authority-building campaigns
