We are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to manage our portfolio of government and prime contractor agreements. The ideal candidate will oversee the full lifecycle of contracts from award through closeout, tracking key milestones, working with other company business units to ensure compliance Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements, managing modifications, ensuring proper flow-down of terms and conditions, and maintaining comprehensive contract documentation. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for contract administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government contracting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with legal counsel, finance, program management, and business development teams. Key Responsibilities: • Administer government contracts and subcontracts from award through closeout, ensuring compliance with all FAR/DFARS clauses and contractual requirements • Review and analyze contract terms and conditions, identifying risks and required actions for compliance • Coordinate with legal counsel to negotiate terms and conditions with government customers and prime contractors • Track and monitor contract performance metrics including period of performance, funding status, billable milestones, deliverables, and key dates • Maintain comprehensive contract files including original agreements, modifications, correspondence, invoicing documentation, and deliverable submissions • Prepare contract modifications and amendments as needed, coordinating approvals across internal teams • Provide contract guidance and support to program managers, engineering teams, finance, and business operations • Ensure proper flow-down of FAR/DFARS clauses to subcontractors and suppliers • Monitor and report on contract status, providing regular updates to program leadership and executives • Support proposal development efforts by providing contract structure guidance and past performance documentation • Identify and escalate contractual issues or risks, working with leadership to develop mitigation strategies • Assist in the development and implementation of contract management policies, procedures, and best practices • Coordinate contract closeout activities including final deliverables, financial reconciliation, and administrative actions Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Government Contracting, or a related field • 3-5+ years of experience in government contract administration, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry • Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations and their application to government contracts • Experience managing various contract types including FFP, CPFF, T&M, and Cost-Reimbursable contracts • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and ensure compliance with complex contract terms and conditions • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact professionally with customers, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Active security clearance or ability to obtain one • U.S. Citizenship Preferred Qualifications: • NCMA certifications (CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM) • Familiarity with DCAA audit requirements and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) • Experience with Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) or non-traditional contracting vehicles • Knowledge of government property, data rights, and intellectual property provisions • Experience with contract management software or ERP systems Pay range for this role $110,000 - $150,000 USD What's in it for you: Benefits: • Competitive total compensation package • Comprehensive benefit package options include medical, dental, vision, life, and more. • 401k with company-match • 4 weeks of paid time off each year • 12 annual company holidays Why Join Zone 5 Technologies? • Innovative Environment: Work on cutting-edge technology that is shaping the future of defense and aerospace. • Collaborative Culture: Join a team of passionate professionals dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. • Career Growth: Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
