Grant Writer & Funding Strategy Lead

We are seeking a highly educated, self-directed Grant Writer & Funding Strategy Lead to independently manage the full grant-seeking process for an education-focused nonprofit.This role is responsible for researching funding opportunities, writing and submitting grant applications, managing deadlines, and tracking outcomes. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and be trusted to own the grant pipeline from start to finish.The ideal candidate is an excellent English writer with strong research skills, experience working independently, and familiarity with nonprofit or educational funding systems. This role is well-suited for candidates with academic, education, public policy, social science, or humanities backgrounds who are comfortable managing complex written work without close supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch and identify relevant grant opportunities aligned with our missionIndependently write, revise, and submit grant applicationsManage grant calendars, deadlines, and submission requirementsMaintain clear records of submitted, awarded, and pending grantsCommunicate funding opportunities, timelines, and outcomes clearly to leadershipRequired QualificationsAdvanced writing proficiency (academic or professional level)- can be in Spanish, we can translateDemonstrated ability to work independently and manage long-term projectsStrong research and synthesis skillsExperience with grant writing, academic writing, or professional proposal writing Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
