[Remote] Chief Investment Officer (Web3 / Digital Assets)

Crypto Pi is a digital-asset investment firm specializing in proprietary and hedge-fund-style strategies across global cryptocurrency markets. They are seeking a Chief Investment Officer to oversee the firm's investment vision, portfolio architecture, and risk framework across all digital-asset strategies, while managing a team of portfolio managers and traders. Responsibilities • Define and continuously refine Crypto Pi’s firm-wide Web3 and digital-asset investment philosophy • Allocate capital across discretionary, systematic, and hybrid strategies • Set portfolio architecture, leverage ceilings, drawdown limits, and risk escalation protocols • Oversee aggregate exposure, correlations, and capital efficiency across all books • Chair investment and risk committees with final decision authority • Evaluate performance at the strategy and PM level; reallocate capital dynamically • Recruit, mentor, and retain senior portfolio managers and traders • Ensure institutional-grade reporting, transparency, and governance standards Skills • Senior leadership experience running digital-asset or alternative investment platforms with full capital authority • Demonstrated track record overseeing multiple strategies and PMs with meaningful aggregate AUM • Deep expertise in crypto market structure, derivatives, volatility, liquidity, and funding dynamics • Proven ability to manage capital through multiple crypto market cycles and extreme stress events • Experience designing firm-wide risk frameworks and capital allocation models • Strong leadership and decision-making capability under uncertainty • High integrity, accountability, and long-term capital stewardship mindset • Ability to clearly communicate investment strategy and risk posture to executive stakeholders and investors • This is a remote role; however, candidates must be U.S. citizens and authorized to work in the United States.
