Job Title: Entry-Level Industrial IT Technician Schedule: Monday–Thursday 6:00AM–4:30PM | Friday 6:00AM–2:00PM | Saturdays (6:00AM–12:00PM) as required Location: On-site (shop & office environment) Schertz, TX 78154 A client in Schertz, TX is seeking an Entry-Level Industrial IT Technician to support the administration, maintenance, security, monitoring, and performance of multi-site networks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work and thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment. This is not strictly an office position — the technician will regularly work in shop areas supporting equipment and users on-site. Key Responsibilities • Assist with the administration, maintenance, security, and performance of multi-site network infrastructure • Maintain workstations, tablets, and other devices using Intune and related management tools • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users across multiple locations • Assist with network design, layout, maintenance, and system upgrades • Support data and communication network systems as needed • Ensure compliance with security policies and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Required Qualifications • Associate’s Degree in Networking, Computer Science, or related field • Minimum of one (1) year of IT experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) • Strong understanding of: • LANs, WANs, WLANs • VPNs • TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS • VOIP systems • Firewall policies • Experience working with Microsoft Intune or similar device management tools preferred • Ability to multitask in an environment with frequent interruptions • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills • High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality Work Environment • Industrial/shop environment — candidate must be comfortable working outside of a traditional office setting • Regular interaction with shop floor employees and equipment • Schedule aligns with shop operations, including early morning start times and occasional Saturday shifts Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and eager to grow in an industrial IT setting.
