AI Agent Developer to build a simple workflow automation ( OpenAI, n8n, RAG )

I’m working on automating part of my day-to-day workflow and I’m looking for an AI Agent developer to help me build a simple, practical AI Agent that can handle this end-to-end. The idea is straightforward: I want an AI Agent that can take an input (for example, a task description or request), reason about what needs to be done, pull the right information if needed, and then take action using tools or APIs. This could mean calling an internal API, updating a record, triggering an automation, or preparing structured output I can actually use. I’m not looking for a chatbot or a proof of concept. I need something that’s reliable enough to use in a real workflow, even if the first version is intentionally small in scope. I don’t care about the technical side, will it be built using OpenAI APIs or n8n, or whatever keeps things simple and extendable. If it makes sense, the agent should be able to retrieve information from a small knowledge base or documents using a light RAG setup. By the end of the project, I expect to have a working AI Agent, the full source code, and a short walkthrough of how everything works. This is a small project by design, but if it works well, there’s a clear path toward a larger AI Agent Automation setup or even a multi-agent flow. Budget & scope This is a fixed-price project in the $400–$600 range. I’m intentionally keeping it focused so we can move fast and see real results.
