The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The objective of the US Consumer Services Control Management Risk ID, Assessment, Testing and Reporting team is to identify, assess, mitigate, and report on Operational Risk within Consumer Banking processes for US Consumer Services to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, Amex policy and enhance the BU's resilience through managing a clear methodology of inherent and residual risk. US Consumer Services is looking for a Senior Analyst of Risk ID, Assessment, Testing & Reporting to support the Consumer Banking group, focused on ensuring control management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our organization. It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies. The Senior Analyst, US Consumer Services Risk ID, Assessment, Testing & Reporting – Consumer Banking will: · Support BU with identification of risks and spotting areas where product changes or improved controls may be required within New Product Governance (NPG) · Assist in additional identification specific risks throughout business processes and systems (along with business process owners) · Analyze and create visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, Python, Excel etc. · Support thematic risk reporting (levels, trends, causes) · Work to improve current processes via automation opportunities to create efficiencies. · Categorize controls and map against risks and processes (e.g., cross-BU process-control mapping) · Support risk management practices within the business · Maintain risk dashboards and key risk indicators (KRIs) for ongoing monitoring · Maintain risk profiles and an updated risk register(s) · Support sharing insights, better practices, themes, etc. across the enterprise Responsibilities • Support BU with identification of risks and spotting areas where product changes or improved controls may be required within New Product Governance (NPG) • Assist in additional identification specific risks throughout business processes and systems (along with business process owners) • Analyze and create visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, Python, Excel etc. • Support thematic risk reporting (levels, trends, causes) • Work to improve current processes via automation opportunities to create efficiencies. • Categorize controls and map against risks and processes (e.g., cross-BU process-control mapping) • Support risk management practices within the business • Maintain risk dashboards and key risk indicators (KRIs) for ongoing monitoring • Maintain risk profiles and an updated risk register(s) • Support sharing insights, better practices, themes, etc. across the enterprise Requirements • 1-2 Years experience in operational risk management or analytics (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) • Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities • Project management, communication, and interpersonal skills • Experience in process governance, with an understanding of processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint • Hands on experience in creating visualization using Tableau, Power BI, or other similar platform. • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills, conceptual and creative problem solver Nice-to-haves • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous • Flexibility and adaptability to work within tight deadlines and changing priorities. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to articulate business problems and implement solutions. • Supporting identification of operational risks throughout business processes and systems • Facilitating risk assessment performance in addition to further assessments and testing programs to ensure regulatory and internal standards are met • Supporting independent control monitoring, including identification of control improvements • Supporting the identification of areas of risk for intervention, including conducting independent quality assurance and process testing • Compiling thematic risk reporting to provide actionable insights on risk levels, emerging trends and root causes Benefits • Competitive base salaries • Bonus incentives • 6%25 Company Match on retirement savings plan • Free financial coaching and financial well-being support • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability benefits • Flexible working model with hybrid, onsite or virtual arrangements depending on role and business need • 20+ weeks paid parental leave for all parents, regardless of gender, offered for pregnancy, adoption or surrogacy • Free access to global on-site wellness centers staffed with nurses and doctors (depending on location) • Free and confidential counseling support through our Healthy Minds program • Career development and training opportunities Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
