Internship - Information Technology (Summer 2025)

Skydance Media is looking for motivated and enthusiastic Summer interns! As an IT Intern you will help with support requests made of the IT Support Desk Team, learn about Information Security best practices, and help with AV systems for a modern content studio. From helping to troubleshoot problems, assist with corporate projects, and providing hands-on help to users, you will have exposure to a wide range of technologies and common issues that arise within an entertainment company. This is a ten-week long paid, full-time internship. You must be able to work 9am-6pm, or 10am-7pm for the duration of this internship program. This internship application will close on April 1st, 2025. • *Responsibilities** Help troubleshoot tech problems. Configure, provision, and deploy IT hardware – computers, accessories, phones, and more. Provide hands-on help to users. Other ad hoc projects, as assigned. You will be exposed and learn about various tools used on the job by an IT Support Technician including ticketing, documentation, and communication. You will learn about the importance of uptime, for both an employee and systems and how it impacts business. You will learn about how to secure and maintain a creative studio’s digital assets. • *Requirements** Must be available for 10-week program, Monday, June 9 – Friday, August 15 Must be available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 10:00AM – 7:00PM Must be currently enrolled in a college/university, pursuing a degree in Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Science focus Demonstrable understanding of computers Computer applications/ software experience necessary to do the job: preferred experience administering or strong understanding of MacOS, Windows, and Microsoft O365 Suite. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Previous experience in customer service, a plus, as this is an employee facing role Must be able to lift up to 20lbs (computers, monitors, etc.) The hourly rate for this non-exempt position in Santa Monica is $17.81 You must be available to work full-time from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (PT) or 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (PT) for the duration of the program (Mon-Fri, June 9 to August 15). Our offices will be closed on June 19 and July 4.
