Google Ads & Local Services Ads Specialist — Home Services (Ongoing) - Contract to Hire
JOB DESCRIPTION
We're a marketing consultancy managing digital advertising for a well-established roofing company in the St. Louis metro area. We need a skilled PPC specialist to take over day-to-day campaign management across Google Ads and Google Local Services Ads (GLSA).
This is not a set-it-and-forget-it role. You'll be actively managing campaigns with ~$15K/month in ad spend, optimizing for cost-per-lead and lead quality — not clicks or impressions.
What you'll manage:
Google Ads search campaigns (roofing services, geo-targeted to metro + County expansion markets)
Google Local Services Ads (GLSA) — this is a must-have skill, not optional
Keyword optimization, bid management, and negative keyword maintenance
Ad copy testing and landing page performance monitoring
Weekly campaign hygiene and optimization adjustments
Monthly performance summaries for our internal reporting
What you won't do:
Strategy and budget allocation (we handle this)
Client communication (we're the client-facing team)
Website changes or landing page development
About the account:
~$15K/month total ad spend across Google Ads + GLSA
Lead generation focused (phone calls + form fills, not ecommerce)
Call tracking through CallRail
Geo-targeting across specific zip codes
Seasonal volume fluctuations (peak: March–October)
REQUIREMENTS
Must-have:
2+ years managing Google Ads for home services, roofing, or contractor businesses specifically
Hands-on experience with Google Local Services Ads (GLSA) — campaign setup, dispute management, lead review, budget optimization
Proven ability to optimize for cost-per-lead (not vanity metrics)
Familiarity with CallRail or similar call tracking platforms
Experience managing geo-targeted campaigns across specific zip codes / service areas
Comfortable working within someone else's strategic framework (you execute, we direct)
Clear, proactive communication — flag problems before they become expensive
Strong plus:
Experience with roofing or storm damage lead gen specifically
Familiarity with seasonal bid strategy for home services
Experience scaling campaigns into new geographic markets
Knowledge of AccuLynx, DaySmart, or similar home services CRMs
Dealbreakers:
No GLSA experience = automatic pass
Generic PPC portfolios without home services clients = not a fit
