Position Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Remote Data Engineering & Analytics Specialist who thrives on solving complex, multi‑dimensional problems and delivering actionable intelligence that fuels strategic decisions across the organization. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, transform massive datasets, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners—including product, design, and executive teams—to translate raw information into strategic advantage. This is a fully remote, home‑based position that offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and the freedom to work from anywhere in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, aggregate, and curate large, intricate data sets that satisfy both technical and business requirements, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Design, implement, and optimize internal system upgrades, re‑architecting data infrastructure for greater scalability, faster data delivery, and automated governance processes.
- Develop end‑to‑end ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines using AWS services (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena) and SQL technologies to support high‑volume data ingestion from diverse sources.
- Construct analytical tools and dashboards that surface key performance indicators—such as operational efficiency, customer acquisition, and revenue trends—to empower data‑driven decision making.
- Partner with stakeholders across data, design, product, and engineering teams, providing technical expertise, troubleshooting assistance, and strategic guidance on data‑related challenges.
- Collaborate with external vendors and third‑party platforms, ensuring seamless integration, reliable data exchange, and robust support for partner solutions.
- Develop, refine, and document data models, schemas, and best‑practice standards to promote reusability and maintainability across the organization.
- Assist in the creation of custom tools and applications that address specific business needs, tailoring solutions to user requirements while adhering to security and compliance policies.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies—including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and demos—to align work with product roadmaps and deliver incremental value.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and champion a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and collaboration.

- Agile Experience: Solid background working in Agile development environments, actively contributing to sprint cycles, backlog grooming, and continuous delivery practices.
- Analytical Acumen: Ability to dissect complex problems, synthesize disparate data sources, and propose data‑driven solutions that align with business objectives.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non‑technical audiences and providing clear documentation.
Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field.
