Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry-Level Construction Estimator specializing in warehousing racking systems and other structural material handing solutions to join our dynamic team. Duties
• Assist senior estimators in preparing detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope documents.
• Utilize estimating customized software to compile and manage bid data efficiently.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs from drawings and plans to determine material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Support negotiation efforts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
• Collaborate with sales, project managers and construction teams to understand project requirements, site conditions, and potential cost challenges.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of cost estimates, change orders, and contract documentation for transparency and future reference.
• Contribute to cost control initiatives by monitoring budget adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
• Basic understanding of construction estimating principles and industry terminology.
• Familiarity with construction software tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail for accurate quantity takeoffs and cost calculations.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members, vendors, and clients.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving project demands within a construction environment.
• Prior experience or exposure to construction site activities or management is a plus but not required.
