Senior SQL BI Developer

About the position We are looking for a SQL Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. SQL BI Developer responsible for: Designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions Crafting and executing queries upon request for data Presenting information through reports and visualization Translate business needs to technical specifications Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools) Create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes) Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting Evaluate and improve existing BI systems Collaborate with teams to integrate systems Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses Create visualizations and reports for requested projects Develop and update technical documentation Responsibilities • Designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions • Crafting and executing queries upon request for data • Presenting information through reports and visualization • Translate business needs to technical specifications • Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools) • Create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes) • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects • Develop and update technical documentation Requirements • 9 years of Proven experience with very strong SSIS and complex SQL query development. • Looking for Data Warehouse development experience in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining • SSAS, SSIS and SSRS / deploying Power BI • In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework • Expertise with Microsoft Power BI • In-depth background in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SSAS • Experience with PySpark for data transformation and pipeline development. • Experience with Azure Data Services , including Data Factory , Data Lake , Synapse , Microsoft Fabric and DataBricks . • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative • ​Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude Benefits • Paid Sick Time • Insurance for Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Available • 401(k) including Employer Match • HSA, Short-term & Long-term Disability Available • We are an EEO/Veterans/Disabled employer.
