What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Take inbound calls assisting customers with billing inquiries
- Make outbound calls to validate active insurance coverage
- Collect outstanding balances and assist customers with Compassionate Care applications
- Document billing activity accurately and maintain records
- Prepare routine administrative work and compile information for reports
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of one (1) year working in a call center environment
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must possess empathic and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with computers and related technology
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Healthcare/revenue cycle billing experience
- Basic knowledge of healthcare billing compliance regulations
- Understanding of payor Explanation of Benefit
- Collections or sales experience
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
