[Remote] REMOTE: Security Architect (SAP)

IntePros is seeking a Security Architect to provide end-to-end security architecture leadership for a major enterprise initiative spanning SAP and non-SAP systems. This role serves as the primary security architecture owner for the project, accountable for designing, integrating, and delivering secure, compliant, and resilient solutions across the full technology landscape. Responsibilities • Serve as the dedicated security architect for assigned initiatives, owning architectural decisions across SAP and non-SAP components • Define, document, and maintain the end-to-end security architecture, including applications, integrations, infrastructure, cloud services, identity, and security controls • Ensure solutions align with enterprise security standards while meeting project-specific functional, delivery, and timeline requirements • Act as the primary point of accountability for project security posture and technical risk • Review and govern SAP and non-SAP solution architectures to ensure secure interoperability across the full ecosystem • Drive consistent application of security principles across SAP modules, supporting systems, middleware, and enterprise platforms • Identify, assess, and manage project-specific security risks, threats, and architectural gaps impacting confidentiality, integrity, or availability • Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and design assessments throughout the project lifecycle • Recommend and drive implementation of architectural changes and compensating controls to mitigate risk • Ensure compliance with internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry standards • Review project-specific infrastructure and network designs across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments • Ensure secure connectivity, segmentation, encryption, and network controls across SAP and non-SAP systems • Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to meet security, resiliency, performance, and availability requirements • Ensure consistent identity and access management across SAP and non-SAP platforms • Embed data protection requirements—classification, encryption, key management, and retention—into solution designs • Work hands-on with project teams during design, build, and deployment to ensure architectures are implemented as intended • Support remediation of security issues identified during development, testing, and deployment • Perform root-cause analysis for project-related security issues and recommend preventive improvements • Support automation of vulnerability scanning, configuration validation, and security monitoring • Represent security architecture in governance forums, design reviews, and milestone checkpoints • Communicate security risks, decisions, and trade-offs clearly to technical and business stakeholders • Coordinate with enterprise architecture and security governance teams to ensure alignment without slowing delivery • Collaborate with enterprise, cloud, data, and network architects as needed while retaining overall ownership of project security architecture Skills • Proven experience delivering end-to-end security and IT architecture for large-scale projects or programs (hands-on delivery, not advisory only) • Strong understanding of secure-by-design and defense-in-depth architecture principles • Experience designing across applications, integrations, infrastructure, cloud, and networks • Working knowledge of cloud security architectures (AWS and/or Azure) • Familiarity with IAM, PAM, encryption, logging, and monitoring within complex project environments • Ability to balance security rigor with delivery timelines and practical implementation constraints • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills • SAP S/4HANA and S/4HANA RISE security architecture and implementation • SAP GRC for access control and risk management • SAP Fiori security and role-based access control design • SAP HANA database security, encryption, and secure configuration • SAP Cloud Platform and integration security best practices • SAP user provisioning, identity management, and authorization concepts • SAP security audit tools, vulnerability scanning, and automation capabilities Company Overview • IntePros is an established, woman-owned, privately-held technology and business services consulting agency committed to building long-term relationships and helping more companies leverage the power of a more diverse workforce.
