About the Role
We are hiring a Junior Proposal and Technical Writer with two (2) to four (4) years of experience to support Federal proposal development across IT services, Administrative Support Services, and mission operations programs.
This role helps turn technical and operational input into clear, structured, and compliant narratives for U.S. Government solicitations. If you enjoy solving complex problems through writing, thinking critically about structure and clarity, and working in a deadline-driven environment, this role offers meaningful growth opportunity.
What You Will Do
• Draft and refine technical and management proposal sections
• Align content directly to solicitation instructions and evaluation criteria
• Support compliance matrices, outlines, and structured review cycles
• Write about IT services, help desk operations, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, and infrastructure support
• Develop content for Administrative Support Services including workflow coordination, records management, scheduling, and program support
• Assist with resume formatting, past performance write-ups, and supporting documentation
• Maintain and update proposal content libraries and reusable materials
• Conduct basic research on agencies, programs, and competitors
• Use advanced Microsoft Word formatting including styles, templates, automated tables of contents, and structured numbering
• Support PowerPoint briefings and review presentations
• Collaborate using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint to manage drafts, version control, and document organization
• Leverage AI tools responsibly to improve research and drafting efficiency
Work Environment
Proposal work is cyclical. During active submissions, deadlines tighten and collaboration increases. This role requires:

• Ability to work in collaborative, fast-paced proposal teams
• Occasional evening or weekend support during major submissions

What We Are Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Business, IT, Public Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional or military experience
• Two (2) to four (4) years of professional writing or documentation experience
• Experience supporting Federal proposals preferred
• Working familiarity with IT environments and Administrative Support Services
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word formatting, templates, and PowerPoint
• Experience working in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint environments
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI writing tools responsibly as a productivity aid
• Experience working within structured proposal methodologies such as Shipley or Lohfeld is a plus
