Contract Duration: 12 Months
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux, Tomcat and other middleware, strong troubleshooting acumen.
Desired Skills & Experience
• Knowledge of ServiceNow, Splunk, Grafana, Excel, Power BI, Python
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
What You Will Be Doing
• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Systems Operations Engineering.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Systems Operations Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
• Provide technical systems support within a technology - Duties are varied and may include one or more of the following: provides support for complex technical issues and initiatives related to assigned applications, systems, databases and/or other technical products and services; uses diagnostic and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to systems.
• Participate in migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and/or configurations; update/write documentation and procedures and assists with related training.
• Troubleshoot network, hardware and software issues using general guidelines, templates or direction from others.
• Participate in writing test scripts; maintain change or issue logs; analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements.
• Understand quality, security and compliance requirements for supported areas and reviews changes for risk to production systems.
• Participate in testing and updating the business continuation plan.
