We are seeking Senior Clinical Healthcare Consultants to support our client's healthcare technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in bridging gaps between clinical workflows and technical deployment. This opportunity is open to both full‑time salaried employees and independent contractors. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE: • Serve as the primary liaison between clinical stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on workflows and requirements. • Develop and document clinical resources such as location inventories, stakeholder registries, and workflow guides to support solution design and implementation. • Assess and recommend device requirements (clinical and non‑clinical) to support workflow efficiency, compliance, and readiness for deployment. • Identify and manage integration risks and dependencies related to device deployment, clinical workflows, and interoperability. • Provide expertise in healthcare interoperability, advising on FHIR APIs, EMR integration strategies, and technical solution design. • Ensure efficient patient record exchange while maintaining compliance with privacy and security regulations. • Support digital health solutions and patient engagement platforms (e.g., Ocean by Cognisant MD) to enhance data collection and clinical workflows. • Enhance health data reporting and analytics frameworks to strengthen evidence‑based, data‑driven decision‑making. WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE JOB: • Clinical background in hospital, clinic, or allied health settings, supported by a relevant Bachelor’s degree. • Experience in healthcare consulting, digital health, or health IT, with exposure to CIS/EMR implementations and interoperability work. • Proficiency with major EMR/CIS platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Meditech, OSCAR) and understanding of standards such as FHIR and HL7. • Knowledge of digital health tools (e.g., Ocean by Cognisant MD) and regulatory frameworks including PHIPA, PIPEDA, and HIPAA. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge clinical and technical teams and support workflow and process change. • Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills in dynamic healthcare environments. • Bilingualism in English and French is required. • Experience with large‑scale digital health or health system transformation initiatives is an asset. • Always improving your skills and knowledge: you want to be the best at what you do. • Curious and creative; comfortable taking on new problems and challenges. • A self‑starter with the ability to recommend priorities to the project leader. • Comfortable working through problems and figuring things out with minimal supervision. • Great problem‑solving skills: thorough and reliable. • Able to work in a team: share knowledge and assist other team members. • Agood communicator: able to explain your ideas and recommendations. • Well organized and dependable under pressure: you manage your time effectively. • Energized by our company values!
